: A survey is an effective tool to gather opinions or receive more information about a certain product, service or just basic information about a group of people. For example, a company can conduct a survey to gain a better profile of their customers - their gender, age, occupation, incomes and so on. Most surveys take from 5 to 15 minuets to take. Another example is the common surveys for usability of certain products - in this case, customers are asked questions about the product that will help the company to improve it. Government & Agencies… In certain occasions, the government or another agency will perform a survey in order to receive the opinion of the nation about specific question. Surveys can also be performed by statistic agencies to gather statistic data (when there are elections coming for example). A common way of gathering people's opinion nowadays is the paid survey. In this case, people are paid to participate in a survey. The company who needs the information can conduct a paid survey or a third party that is doing it on behalf of different companies can conduct it. A paid survey can bring you extra income. Payments vary among different surveys - you can be paid from $10 to $200 for completing a single survey, or participating in an online focus group. In general, the remuneration depends on the survey type and its length. If we assume you complete five paid surveys per month of an average of $50 you can see that you have made $250 quite easily. Well, if you're like me, it sounds interesting and tempting so far. Now you are asking yourself, how do I get into this paid survey thing? The quickest and easiest way is to search the internet. You will quickly find hundreds of web sites offering paid surveys. However, do not jump at the first offer. Check each site carefully to see if it is genuine. Unfortunately, there are many fake companies offering paid surveys and later you may discover that there are no payments at all. You should first look if the site looks credible, if it shows a contact address and phone number, are there testimonials from other people participating in their program. Some sites may ask you to pay a set up fee upon registration. It is an application fee for your enrolment in the site's database. It may sound fair enough for you however, this is the easiest way to be fooled - they can just take the money and forget about sending you surveys. Find discussion groups or forums dedicated to paid surveys - you will not only find the best sites for paid surveys but you will see peoples recommendations and suggestions about how to make the most out of this opportunity. Finally be very careful to whom you are disclosing your personal information. While some paid surveys are genuine and conducted with research purposes, others might be used for unsolicited mail shots or email spam. Call the web site and ask for explanation what kind of personal information you will have to disclose and how it will be used. Come back to check out some of the post that are going to be added to this site. There will be many reviews for sites that have great offers but be care full in which ones you choose. Feel free to visit my site at Paid Survey Review

Catalogs for shopping freaks
Norin fusses with samples of foundation makeup in a department store. She smears some onto one cheek. Too dark. She wrinkles her nose. The second sample doesn’t look right, either. The saleswoman at the cosmetics counter cleans Norin’s face with a tissue and applies another tone. She turns to her friend, who just shrugs. For the next sixty-five minutes, Norin fingers makeup boxes, dabs lip gloss and gazes at her tanned complexion in the mirror, searching for a new face that will give her a new identity. With Norin’s actions it is evident that people, especially women, are very particular with what they want. They would stop at nothing just to get the right color of lipstick or the right tone of makeup. This is one of the reasons why the need for a better marketing scheme is important for every business. It is important to create name recognition and brand awareness so people would be enticed to purchase their products, thus, reducing the time customers spend in shopping. Catalogs can be one of the most important sales tool for showcasing your products and services. They can be the tool you can use in announcing to the market what your business is all about. They can be mailed or handed out to prospects and customers. But just like any other marketing material it is essential to create a catalog that best represents the business that you have. Color choices, paper quality and printing techniques are a few of the things you need to consider in producing a good catalog. You also need to humanize yourself and your catalog by making it seem like the catalog came from friendly and helpful people. This way your prospects will easily trust you and avail of your products. A harmonious layout can also help in creating a professional elegant look to your catalog. And including enough variety can keep the readers interested instead of becoming bored. Likewise, the photos that you will include in the catalog need to be effectively shot. Good product photos are more than of an art than styling. Remember that readers are likely to keep away from products that they can’t even recognize in pictures. So make an effort to produce pictures that tells the readers what they need to know about the product. And make sure to throw in some extra in your catalog to make your customers happier. And if you send Norin and other ‘Norins’ out there your catalog, perhaps the next time they think of shopping they’ll have a look at your catalog first and decide if there is something they want there before enduring in another long hours of testing and dabbing tons of makeup in their face.

Switzerland s cheesy economy
In a series of referenda in 2003-5, Swiss citizens transformed their country forever, economically aligning it with the European Union and opening it up to work migration. It was an uncharacteristic response to increasingly worrisome times. In March 2003, Switzerland's annual rate of inflation dipped to 1.3 percent. Once a cause for celebration, it is now construed to be a worrisome sign of lurking deflation. Growth has been below trend for years now. Demand is ever-weakening and capacity is idle. Taxes are high, the national debt soaring. Interest rates are vanishingly low, having been chopped by half a percentage point in March 2003. But the Swiss franc, impervious to these monetary gambits, is at a five year high against the dollar. Switzerland depends on exports and tourism - they constitute more than half its gross domestic product. The almighty currency does its trade balance no favors. National economic emblems are crumbling left, right and center. In an interview to the daily Blick, Andre Dose, chief of Swiss International Air Lines, the tottering successor of the bankrupt Swissair, begged for tax exemptions, lower insurance premiums and a waiver of airport charges as well as soft loans and subsidies from both government and banks. The airline lost more than $700 million in 2002. A study recently released by Agrarplattform - a group representing farmers, processors and retailers - disabused the Swiss of their long held conviction that their cherished agricultural sector - notably milk, potatoes and meat - is profitable. Indigenous armaments technology firms - such as the state-owned Ruag group - besieged by anti-war protesters, saw their profits slashed. In 2002-5, Switzerland's leading brand names - Roche (pharmaceuticals), Credit Suisse (banking), Adecco (manpower) and Zurich Financial Services - have announced record losses and job cuts. And then there is Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and avian (bird) flu. Switzerland has been struck with ten suspected cases of the former. It tightened inspections at its airports, cancelled flights and allocated funds for research into the new pandemic. Swiss pharmaceutical company, Roche, produced a diagnostic kit by end-2003. No sector is spared the slump. Swiss banks, much-decried over the last few years for their alleged complicity in money laundering, are being pried open by assertive United States regulators and a zealous, mainly European, Financial Action Task Force. In 2002, Swiss banks begun to repatriate to Nigeria more than $670 million looted by late dictator Sani Abacha and deposited with them. In the run-up to the war in Iraq, the government froze $368 million in Iraqi financial assets at Washington's behest, repeating its act in 1990. Mobsters, terrorists, scammers, venal politicians and tax dodgers now look for anonymity and discretion to Lebanon and Cyprus, or even to Austria, the USA, the United Kingdom and Luxemburg . Switzerland's reputation as a safe pecuniary haven is in tatters. This was only the latest in a series of upsets suffered by the ailing banking industry. In August 1998, following intensive public pressure by Jewish organizations - and a thinly-disguised anti-Semitic backlash - Switzerland's two major banks, UBS and Credit Suisse, agreed to set up a $1.25 billion fund to settle claims by holocaust survivors and their relatives. The red-faced Swiss government threw in $210 million. It seems that the banks were in no hurry to find the heirs to the murdered Jewish owners of dormant accounts with billions of dollars in them. A settlement was reached only when legal action was threatened against the Swiss National Bank and both public opinion and lawmakers in the USA turned against Switzerland. It covers owners of dormant accounts, slave laborers, and 24,000 of 110,000 refugees turned back to certain death at the Swiss border - or their heirs. A high level international commission, headed by Paul Volcker, a former chairman of the Federal Reserve Board, identified 54,000 accounts opened by holocaust victims - not before it inspected 350,000 accounts at an outlandish cost, borne by the infuriated banks, of $400 million. To compound matters further, the Bergier Commission, set up in 1996 by the Swiss parliament, revealed, in March 2002, that Swiss banks provided the Axis powers with interest free loans. Wall Street dealt Swiss financial intermediaries and their US-based brokerages, another blow. Recently, they settled with US regulators over charges of issuing biased stock analyses and recommendations. But this did not prevent former star investment banker with Credit Suisse First Boston, Frank Quattrone, from being charged with obstructing justice and destruction of evidence. Many mid-size and large Swiss firms are exiting the tainted capital markets altogether. In April 2003, according to Swissinfo, the news Web site of Swiss Radio, Jean-Pierre Roth, chairman of the Swiss National Bank (SNB), warned, in its annual meeting, against undue optimism. Deteriorating trading conditions, stagnant consumption and diminished government spending heighten the "risks of a renewed worsening of the situation ..pared to the previous year, conditions for our companies have worsened." The country is still hobbled by red tape and anti-competitive cartels. Growth in 2003 was lower than the Bank predicted only five months ago, he admitted. The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) concurs. In its outlook, it warned that subdued conditions abroad and an inexorably appreciating franc continue to threaten the country's recovery. GDP grew by an imperceptible 0.6 percent in 2003 and 1.9 percent in 2004. The International Monetary Fund (IMF), more upbeat, projected a 0.3 percent uptick in 2003 and 2.4 percent the year after. In 2002 the economy froze at zero growth. Unemployment stood at an unprecedented 3.9 percent in February 2003. Not all is bleak, though. German chipmaker, Infineon, is considering to relocate to Switzerland. In April 2003, San-Diego based Netrom's Tempest Asset Management inaugurated a currency trading center in Zurich "to gain access to the multi-trillion dollar financial markets in Europe". Swiss firms, from gourmet baker Hiestand to computer peripherals manufacturer, Logitech, are showing record sales and surging profits. The UBS Index of Investor Optimism, maintained by Swiss mammoth bank, UBS and the Gallup Organization, climbed 61 points in March 2003 - albeit to reach only one third its size in January 2000. Half the population foresee a recovering economy and two fifths believe in improving employment prospects. Moreover, globalization has coerced Switzerland into abandoning its splendid - and costly - isolation. In March 2002 it voted to join the United Nations - something it has resisted for decades. Swisspeaks, a two month festival promoting Switzerland, took place in April 2003 in New-York. Ten million visitors attended Expo.02 - a national exhibition in Neuchatel. Seven agreements with the European Union came into force in June 2003. Incredibly, Switzerland is poised to join the Schengen agreement, leading to the scrapping of internal borders with the EU. Banking secrecy will be partially lifted in line with Union directives. With 7 million inhabitants (one fifth of which are immigrants) - Switzerland is among the richest polities on Earth. Income per capita is more than $38,000. The economy's openness - its weakness - is also its fount of strength. It endows Switzerland with enviable resilience and flexibility. The country survived intact the first and second world wars, fought on its doorstep. It has reinvented itself, metamorphosing in the process from a backward rustic landlocked domain to a financial cum engineering global empire. It will emerge, as it always does, invigorated and ready for new challenges.

9 Tips for writing better business letters
Copyright © Shaun R. Fawcett It’s quite amazing how often business people fail to follow basic guidelines when it comes to writing their business correspondence. That might explain why so many people come to my writing help Web sites looking for help with their business letter writing. Just as businesses need to be focused and efficient to thrive and succeed, so too does the primary tool of most businesses — the business letter. Following are a number of tips and guidelines that I have compiled while reading and writing many hundreds of business letters over the past 25+ years. 1. Limit Them To One Page By definition, business letters should be short and to the point, preferably one page in length. Studies have found that busy business people do not like to read beyond the first page, and will actually delay reading longer letters. So, if you don’t want your letter to gather dust in an in-basket, keep it as short as possible. 2. Be Reader-Friendly Always try to focus on the needs of the reader and make an effort to see things from their perspective. Put yourself in their position and imagine what it would be like for you to be receiving your letter. Anyone can do this, since we are all “customers” of some other business in some part of our lives. 3. Keep The Tone Formal And Factual Generally speaking, the tone and content of business letters should be formal and factual. Feelings and emotions do not have a place in business letters. So, avoid phrases like “we feel” and use “we believe” or “we think” instead. A cordial, friendly approach is fine. Just keep it businesslike, but avoid overly formal terms like “heretofor”, “as per”, “herewith”, etc. 4. Carefully Plan Your Letter Before writing the letter, take a few minutes to list all of the specific points you need to cover. Sometimes it may even mean a phone call to the recipient or his/her company to confirm a specific point. Remember, the purpose of the letter is to tie up all of the details on the subject at hand, so that more letters won’t have to be written back and forth. 5. Make It Clear, Concise And Logical Use a clear and direct writing style that uses simple words and straightforward phrases. Make sure that your flow follows a logical progression, first identifying the main subject, elaborating on it, and then drawing the logical conclusion. 6. Accuracy And Timeliness Are Key By their very nature, business letters need to be accurate and timely. They almost always have financial implications and related impacts on other businesses and/or people. Double-check all of the facts stated in the letter, and make sure that any future dates specified give others enough time to realistically complete what is expected of them. 7. Relegate Technical Details To Attachments Often it is necessary to include detailed technical information as part of a business letter package. In such cases, use the main letter as a cover letter that lists and briefly explains and references the attached (or enclosed) documents. 8. Use Non-Discriminatory Language Make sure that you avoid language that is specific to gender, race, or religion in all business letters, either to other businesses, or to customers. For example, use “workforce” instead of “manpower”, or “chairperson” rather than “chairman”. Most style guides contain detailed lists of the offensive terms and some suggested substitutes. 9. Eliminate Redundant Words And Phrases There are certain words and phrases that one often sees in business correspondence that tend to make the language more complicated and cumbersome than necessary. For example, instead of the phrase “in spite of the fact that” use “although”, or instead of “in the normal course of events” use “normally”. There are many such redundant phrases, so review your letter and eliminate them. If you are running any type of business in which business letters are important communication tools, you would do well to take careful heed of the above tips and advice. Remember, the business correspondence that you issue is a direct reflection of the overall products and/or services offered by your business. Poorly-written, amateurish, and/or shoddy business letters will surely result in lost sales.

Is invoice factoring an affordable business financing solution
In short, yes. Provided that your company meets certain criteria. Invoice factoring has been gaining popularity as a tool to finance growing businesses. It is a solution that accelerates payments from slow paying clients, freeing up cash flow and allowing companies to grow. By eliminating the uncertainties of when they’ll be paid, business owners can use factoring to stabilize their business and put it on a growth path. However, factoring is not for everyone. For factoring to work, your business must meet certain criteria: 1. It must be established and have commercial or government (not consumer) sales 2. Your profit margins must be at least 12% or higher 3. Your biggest problem must be that clients are taking too long to pay their invoices If you fit these criteria, then there is a chance that factoring financing will be a good solution for your business. It may not be as inexpensive as a business loan, but certainly will be significantly more flexible and easier to obtain. Factoring will help you if: 1. You are turning away orders because you lack the cash flow 2. You risk missing key payments (rent, suppliers, payroll) because of cash flow Factoring transactions are relatively simple. Once you invoice your client, you sell your invoice to the factor, who advances you up to 85% (on average) for your invoice. 15% is usually kept as a cushion to handle potential issues with the invoice. You get immediate funds from the advance while the factoring company waits to get paid. Once the client pays the invoice, the factoring company will rebate the 15% less their fee. Factoring costs can vary depending on your financed volume, credit quality of your clients, payment cycles and industry. Generally speaking, factoring will cost 1.5% to 3.5% per month. However, most factors break their pricing in smaller ten-day increments, making cost more attractive. So a factor that charges 2.7% per month, would actually charge you 0.9% for every ten days the invoice is outstanding. As you can see, invoice factoring is a reasonable alternative to other financing products, provided that you can meet certain criteria. Qualifying for invoice factoring is very easy, the biggest requirement is that you do business with credit worthy commercial or government clients.

Why do i need a business plan
Having a business plan is a very important tool in business, however there is no point having a fantastic plan and then hiding it in your bottom draw. A business plan is simply a written plan that incorporates the many aspects of your business, for example; financial, marketing, short and long term goals, time appreciation. A business plan will give a business owner a good idea of how much investment is required in specific areas of the business. If you are thinking about requesting financial assistance from a bank, a business plan is a must. A good business plan will demonstrates the amount of money needed to spend on specific requirements at the right time. Good business plans will also include the quality and rate of raw materials used, the cost of advertising, the prospects of importing or exporting and transportation requirements. The plan can also deal with partners, staff requirements, legal, insurance and training. In fact the list can be endless. Many people enjoy the challenges of setting up a business, however within a short space of time they look to sell on the business for a profit. These people are able to do this because they have structured business plans that they work to. If you require any help or advice on business planning simply email info@bizseller4u. bizseller4u

How to buy a printer
A Lot of people tend to just go cheap when buying a printer, but in the long run it can end up costing you more. Even though Ink jet printers might be inexpensive up front the cost of replacement ink can drive up the overall cost over the time of ownership. You know what I am talking about, some times the ink is more than the printer was. Check the prices of the ink cartridges of the printer you are considering and find out how many pages each cartridge will print. Once you figure out approximately how many pages you will print per month, you can determine the cost of the printer plus ink over the course of a year. Consider getting individual cartridges if you know you'll need one color more than others--for instance, if many of your documents have a red logo or if you print mainly black and white. Manufacturers very often list faster print speed specifications on their packaging than we see when testing performance. A typical ink jet printer can produce two to four pages per minute of text and one full-page, 8.5-by-11-inch photo or graphic in two to three minutes. Some color ink jets can print photos at a level that approaches the quality of a professional photofinisher. If you plan to use your printer primarily for photos or graphics, look for models that are built for that. If you plan to print mostly photos, look for photo printers with features such as a built-in PC Card slot, an LCD panel that allows you to view and print an image without using your PC, and bundled image-editing software. If you print mainly text documents, consider buying an inexpensive black & white laser printer. These printers provide superior text quality compared with high-end ink jet printers. Some monochrome lasers cost as little as $200, making them a good deal for home users. If you need to print a lot of text and high-quality graphics, buying a good photo ink jet printer in addition to an inexpensive monochrome laser printer could save you money on ink and maintenance costs in the long run as opposed to buying an ink jet to do it all. Many monochrome lasers come with optional ethernet ports for networks. If you plan to use the printer with one PC, don't pay the extra money for an ethernet card. Color laser printer toner cartridges are the most expensive consumable you can buy for a printer, but their yield is so much higher than an ink jet cartridge that, in the long run, color laser toner is less expensive on a per page basis. If you're not running a graphics department but still want to print color, you'll most likely choose an ink jet printer, which can create beautiful graphics at a tenth of the cost of a color laser. However, keep in mind that the inexpensive price of an ink jet is quickly surpassed by the cost of replacement ink. Price does not necessarily translate to print quality or speed. Shop Around.

Nobody ever knows they got joining instructions
It's true! Ask any delegate whether they got their joining instructions and they'll look at you blankly. If you explain that we sent you a letter describing the event and how to get here; a small glimmer of light starts to burn. This piece of event jargon is one of the few technical terms that delegates don't really need to know about. To give your delegates complete confidence that your event is well organized and that their every need has been considered, it is well worth the preparation time to design comprehensive joining instructions. Not only should this limit the number of calls and emails to clarify small details about the event, it will also help to orientate the delegates to the venue and the overall shape of the event before they arrive. Joining instructions should clearly describe all of the following: • The title of the event. • The date and programmed start and finish times for the event. • The name and address of the venue. • Telephone number(s) for the venue. • Travel directions and approximate travel times for automobile, train and air travelers. • Recommended accommodation within easy reach of the event. • Recommended local restaurants and other facilities like gyms, spas, swimming pools, movie complexes. • Any local attractions or places of interest. • Dress code for the event (if appropriate). • Any preparation the delegates need to undertake prior to the event. • Any material the delegates should bring for use in the event (if required). • A reminder to bring proof of registration. If possible keep your joining instructions as one document to ensure that information is not lost. It may be easy to include the venue's own details as part of the package but remember that the joining instructions are as important a piece of marketing as any of your published materials. If you can have them printed on good quality paper, branded with your event logo, clearly laid out and free from factual and typographical errors you will be reinforcing your professionalism, expertise and focus on delegate satisfaction. Delegate information gathering The booking process is also an ideal opportunity to learn more about your delegates and their reasons for attending. People will feel that they are getting more value for their money if the event addresses their pet issues. Your presenters will also welcome the opportunity to make the material come alive by stimulating audience participation through the additional intelligence that can be gathered at this time. This, of course, means that your booking administrators need to be more than just box tickers. They should be personable, chatty people who can engage the delegates in conversation and who are able to listen actively to what they are being told. They may not be experts in the subject themselves but if they were that would be ideal. So don't scare your delegates with jargon; make them feel cared for and part of the process to get the most out of your event.

Video poker how to play the game
: If you are looking for a fun and challenging alternative to playing slot machines, video poker is the game for you. Instead of simply pulling the machine handle and hoping that you will be lucky enough to meet a row of identical icons, in video poker your moves would rule whether you win or lose. Moreover, the house edge in video poker is much lower than at slots. Playing video poker is similar to playing draw poker on a slot machine. It enables you to enjoy the action of poker without having to face other players who may be more experienced and skilled than you are. In addition, in video poker, there are no dealers, no rakes, no bluffing, no cheating; it is all about you and your poker skills. How to Play Video Poker: There are several variations to video poker. Some of the video poker variations are played with standard 52 card decks while others are played with additional wild cards. All the variations are based on the traditional card game of poker. Therefore, a basic knowledge of poker hand ranking is necessary. You start by choosing the coin value you wish to play and then pick the number of coins that you want to bet. Afterwards, you click on deal and five cards will appear on your screen. You can discard some or all of the cards and replace them with new ones. After pressing hold on the cards you wish to keep, you push the deal button and the machine replaces your discarded cards with new ones. The outcome of the second draw determines whether you win or lose. Each video poker machine displays its payout table, which details the number of coins the machine pays for each five card poker hand. The payout table differs from one video poker variation to the other and so is the minimum hand that qualifies for a payout. Video poker odds are the same as in regular card poker. A 52 card deck produces more than 2.5 million hand combination. Each video poker machine is set by a random number generator, which simulates the probabilities of drawing any of the poker hand combinations. While in regular card poker, the casino ensure its profits by collecting a rake, in video poker the casino ensure its profits by setting each machine pay table differently. Video Poker Tips: 1) Learn the basics of draw poker before you start playing video poker at online casinos or at a casino nearby. 2) Know the machine payout of the table you have decided to play at by selecting the machine that offers the highest return. 3) Adjust your strategy to the specific video poker variation you intend to play. 4) Use a mathematical strategy to play the game correctly. 5) Do not keep cards that cannot be used to form a winning hand. 6) Hold on to any pair instead of keeping a high card. 7) Keep any pair rather than draw into a straight or a flush. 8) Practice playing online video poker in a play money mode.

Disfrъtalo!

Business owners customer satisfaction is key
As a consultant for people who are considering starting their own small business, I naturally have many things to share with people. Clients come to me with a host of questions about the process of starting a business and about the details of what to focus on above everything else. Once we have talked through the logistics and the finances that are necessary in starting a business, I quickly move into talking about the keys to running a successful business. The first key that I always talk about is customer satisfaction. Before I share with clients that customer satisfaction is my number one key to success, I make them list in order of priority what they feel are the top ten keys to success in their future business. This is important because it gets them thinking about their goals and about actually having to perform for their business to be a success. Most of the time my clients rank customer satisfaction somewhere in their list, but it is very rare that it makes the number one spot. They are shocked when I reveal my list and they see customer satisfaction all the way on the top. I feel strongly about customer satisfaction for many reasons. I guess the biggest reason is that the whole purpose of a business is to invite customers and to meet a need that they have. If business owners and potential business owners lose sight of the fact that they are in business for the customer and not for the money, then they will never have a successful business. I find that businesses are prosperous and long-lasting to the degree that they truly do make customer satisfaction the center of all they do. Customer satisfaction means a variety of things for the business owner, but the main thing it means is that the needs of the customer are the bottom line and the driving force behind all decisions that are made for the business. It means that gaining and keeping customers is important enough to a business that they are willing to make changes if necessary based on what customers want. Customer satisfaction is the missing key in many struggling businesses. Give customers what they want in a way they want and in a friendly matter and many more of our companies would be doing better. Customer satisfaction is hard to achieve, yet with intention and care it can be rewarding for everyone involved.
